Randy Dornbusch, a former fishing guide and tournament angler, and the inventor of Tuff Skinz Products developed the first vented outboard motor cover for his outboard in 1999. After several years of trying various designs, fabrics, and methods to protect his outboard from scratches from limbs, branches, lures, and the elements, he finally came up with the perfect solution.............The Tuff Skinz vented outboard motor cover.

| Company history Randy Dornbusch, the founder of Tuff Skinz has been an avid outdoorsman for many years, and in 1999 while he was a professional guide, began designing products to protect and organize his bass boat. In 1999 he came up with the Tuff Skinz Outboard motor cover, the original vented outboard cover.
